Swakeleys House open 22nd September
Yes, it’s really open this time. Not half open as it was on Festival weekend.

July 7 Plants, Books, Coffee, Cakes…
On Saturday 7th July there will be a Coffee Morning with delicious homemade cakes, together with a Sale of Plants and Quality Books at the URC, running from 10am to 12 Noon
Admission free.
Plant sales have been doing very well this year and it hopes to see many of its regular customers again as well as some new ones. On the book front it will have out the top end of the stock, with prices running from £1 each for quality paperbacks up to £5 and including books of local interest and a big collection of Sci-Fi paperbacks.
The URC is looking forward to an enjoyable morning, with proceeds divided between the church and our 2018 charities: Bereavement Care, SENSE [The National Deafblind and Rubella Association], The British Heart Foundation and Water Aid.

A Mayoral Visit

Characters of Ickenham – slide show
Hello. Well that was a great Festive Evening. Thank you Ickenham Festival and all the people who put so much time and effort into making it so enjoyable. And thank you all the visitors for braving the chilly weather to participate in this great community event.

Who makes Ickenham sparkle?
We’ve been collecting nominations for ‘Characters of Ickenham’ – people who bring a bit of sparkle to Ickenham, making it such a good place to live. We have 60 nominations, some of which cover more than one person.
You can join the fun by voting for the people in the list that you think should be included in the final slideshow. There’s space for you to make a new nomination if you think we’ve missed someone important.
The idea is to collect photographs (with permission) of the ‘winners’ and show them at the Festive Evening in December.
