Our forecourt sale which helped to launch the Festival enjoyed a fantastic attendance and a great atmosphere and raised over £1100, a record for us for an event of that type, so many thanks to all of you who came along and/or provided things for us to sell.  The money will go to the work of the church, Smile Train and Papyrus prevention of young suicide and we will be looking to add to it with a similar event on the forecourt and the Oasis café at the URC, Swakeleys Road UB10 8HE on Saturday 7^th September, 10am to 12 Noon, admission FREE.  We will again have plants, quality bric-a-brac, lots of books, boxed games and puzzles and anything else that you give us, apart from clothes and shoes.  There will be an accompanying friendly coffee morning with homemade cakes.  Please bring donations of any of the things we are selling to the church between 2pm and 6pm on Friday 6^th September or phone Richard Piper on 01895 634348 for collection.  This is also the number for any enquiries or offers of help.
