Possible strike action this Thursday

From TfL:

On Thursday 12 January, strike action is expected to affect Elizabeth line services. If the strike goes ahead:

• There will be no service between Paddington and Abbey Wood all day, or before 07:30 on Friday 13 January
• A Saturday service will run between Liverpool Street (National Rail platform) and Shenfield, with additional services during peak hours
• There will be a reduced service of two trains per hour each between Paddington (National Rail platform) and Heathrow T4/Reading/Maidenhead, and no service to Heathrow T5
• On Friday 13 January, east and west services will start as normal, but will run to/from Paddington and Liverpool Street National Rail platforms until approximately 07:30 when the central section of the line is expected to open. A good service is expected from 09:00 across the line

All other services will run as normal but will be busier, particularly those in central London and DLR services.

From Friday 13 January until Tuesday 28 February, Elizabeth line services could be subject to short notice changes or cancellations due to industrial action.

Plan ahead, allow more time for your journey and check before you travel.

And a reminder from HS2 re Harvil Road:

HS2 Works Notification: Closures on Harvil Road for utility and construction works

We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.

Works are ongoing at Harvil Road to facilitate the road realignment.

In the last couple of months, we have been carrying out utility and construction works to build the new Skip Lane junction. We will continue with these works until February 2023.

Most of the works on the carriageways will be restricted to lane closures monitored by temporary traffic lights. However, in order to ensure that these works can be carried out safely, a road closure will be required to construct the new asphalt to match the level of the current highway from 30 January to 19 February 2023.

We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being taken to ensure that these works are carried out in the least impactful way.

We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.

Please see details of the works here: http://https://www.hs2.org.uk/work-items/closures-on-harvil-road-for-utility-and-construction-works-2/

St Martin’s Medical Centre problems

On behalf of St Martin’s Medical centre

Alert message for Ruislip and Ickenham patients registered at St Martins Medical Centre (GP practice). The Ruislip branch will remain closed until further notice, due to an unfortunate water pipe burst. Everything had to be shut down and the site at the moment is not safe to access! The team and the management are doing their best to accommodate patients in need of doctor appointments from the Ickenham branch, but as you can imagine, not all patients booked in for the future days to come will keep their appointments, as we don’t have the same capacity. Also, you will find phone lines very busy. Both reception staff and clinical staff have been reduced, some working remotely. This means delays for PATCHS appointments as well. Patients coming from different practices for blood tests will have to be cancelled for now and re-booked when possible, or contact your own surgery to reschedule in a different place. We apologies for all inconveniences and we thank you for your understanding and patience!
