Harvil Road area bus route changes
| HS2 – U9 diversions and New Year’s Green Lane closure TfL has confirmed that Bus Route U9 will run a diverted route during the upcoming Full Road Closure of Harvil Road between 12/06 until 09/07. Towards Uxbridge Harvil Road – Moorhall Road – Moorfield Road – North Orbital Road – Denham Avenue – Oxford Road – Denham Roundabout – A40 Western Avenue – Swakeleys Roundabout – then line of route. Towards Harefield Hospital Swakeleys Road – Swakeleys Roundabout – A40 – Denham Roundabout – Oxford Road – Denham Avenue – North Orbital Road – Moorfield Road – Moorhall Road – Harvil Road – then line of route. |

Mount Vernon open day
We are holding a family friendly open day at Mount Vernon Hospital on Saturday 8 July, from 11am – 3pm, as part of our NHS 75 celebrations.
Entry is free, and there will be range of activities on offer including a bouncy castle, games, and a football tournament, as well as stalls offering information about healthcare services and careers in the NHS.
Mikado concert 25 June
THE MIKADO
White Knight presents a concert version of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera The Mikado, to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee.
The concert is free, with a retiring collection in aid of the Disasters Emergency Committee.
A first-class line-up of professional soloists are giving their time for free, in the hope of raising money for people in desperate need across the world.

Dear Resident,
We have completed the sewer diversion
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carried out the diversion to our sewer to enable HS2’s construction.
We can confirm the diversion has been completed and we have now left the area. The haul road has been removed and the land has been reinstated with new trees and shrubs being planted. The reinstatement of the Ickenham Green Allotments has also been completed.
We will be returning to the area to water the grass on The Green and the saplings in the surrounding area on a regular basis. Barhale will be responsible to look after the area for 12 months and then Thames Water will take over for the next two years. After this time the land will be handed back to London Borough of Hillingdon.

New Years Green Lane works

We’re writing to let you know about some planned works that we will be carrying out in your area.
On Sunday 18 June 2023, we will be carrying out inspection works to the conveyor over Newyears Green Lane.
Due to the location of these works, a road closure will be in place for one day to ensure these activities can be carried out safely.
Access will be maintained for residents, emergency services and businesses along Newyears Green Lane. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via Moorhall Road / A412 / A40.

Fun in the sun at the URC!

Our Spring Forecourt Sale was a great success, with a good attendance and atmosphere and £818 raised for the church and our chosen charities for the year, British Red Cross and Asthma+Lung UK, so thank you to all who came and/or donated things for us to sell.
The weather then was better than forecast earlier in the week but we’re hoping for warmer and sunnier for our Summer Forecourt Sale on Saturday 10th June from 10am to 12 Noon, admission FREE.
The formula will be much the same, with the famous plant stall, quality bric-a-brac, books galore, maps, stamps, jigsaws and boxed games and pretty well anything else you give us, except clothes and shoes, accompanied by a friendly coffee morning with homemade cakes.
If you have items to donate please bring them to the church between 2pm and 6pm on Friday 9th June or ring Richard Piper on 01895 634348 for collection. This is also the number for any queries or offers of help, but otherwise we’ll again look forward to seeing you on the day!
