Help the council with its budget
Each year the council must consider and agree a balanced budget for its services and the amount of local council tax to be raised from residents and businesses, to help fund this budget.
In considering its options for 2022/23, the Council is keen to hear the views of residents and local businesses on its budget proposals.

HS2 Works Notification: Utility works at High Road and Ickenham Road
We wrote to you recently to let you know that we would be carrying out utility relocation works from 6 December 2021 to 28 May 2022, near West Ruislip train station. However, we need to reschedule these works which will now take place from 4 January 2022 to 28 May 2022.
These works are to prepare for the start of tunnelling in 2022.
During the first phase of these works, we will be clearing some vegetation and removing the central reservation which will help to facilitate the second phase of the works and maintain two-way traffic flow at all times. Estimated dates are 4 to 21 January 2022.
During the second phase, we will be carrying out the main utility works which includes excavation, installation and reinstatement of the gas mains and installation of water valves. Estimated dates 24 January to 30 April 2022.
In the final phase we will reinstate the central reservation and pedestrian crossing. Estimated dates 2 to 28 May 2022.
Please see below for more information about locations and the works we will be carrying out over the next few months.
In order to carry out these utility works safely:
– a footpath diversion will be in place including a temporary pedestrian crossing either side of the work area
– the cycle path will be closed for the duration of these works
– the West Ruislip bus Stop S and Stop M will be suspended and temporarily moved to a safe location.
Your utility services will not be affected.
You may notice periods of increased noise during these works. We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being taken to keep disruption to a minimum.

Utility works at West Ruislip
From HS2
On the 29, 30 and 31 of December 2021, we will be carrying out steel fixing works on the tunnel portal area at our West Ruislip site.
These works will be done within our site boundary at 11 meters below ground level therefore, we do not anticipate any noise or disruption.
Steel fixing is the activity that takes place to create many of the steel support structures that are used in the construction of the railway, the work comprises a crane lifting materials into the excavation below ground and then operatives manually fixing these lengths of steel in place.
Every effort is being taken to ensure that these works are carried out in the least impactful way. We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum. for more info
