What we are doing

From 5 to 16 August 2022, we will be carrying out the construction of the vehicle entrance along Harvil Road.

These activities will include excavation works and the relocation of BT broadband cables. Follow the link below to see the location of the work.

In order to carry out these works safely, a lane closure will be in place for the duration of these works between our Gate 1 site compound south of the Chiltern Line and Shorthill Cottage.

We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being taken to ensure that these works are carried out in the least impactful way.

We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.

New Years Green Lane works update

What we are doing
We wrote to you previously to let you know that we would be carrying out works on 4, 6, 13 and 18 July 2022. However, we have rearranged these dates to safely carry out these works under a road closure and the works will now take place on 3 and 4 August 2022.

How these works might affect you
Due to the location of these activities, a section of the road will be closed for the duration of these works to ensure these activities can be carried out safely. During the road closure access will be maintained for residents and the emergency services.

We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being taken to ensure that these works are carried out in the least impactful way.

We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.

Golf course redevelopment

HS2 & SCSJV Information Hub
Our Community Information Hub is open for drop-ins every Monday and Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm.
Our Community Engagement team will be available to answer your questions about the project and our works in Hillingdon and Northolt.
You can find us in the portable cabin on the right of West Ruislip Portal entrance on Ickenham Road.

We will start works over the coming months to prepare the Ruislip Golf Course for redevelopment.

Our works will include:

• Setting up security fencing and hoarding
• Archaeology works
• Ecological mitigation works
• U44 footpath diversion
• Ground investigation

During these works, public access points to the Golf course will be clearly marked along the area and notice boards will be installed to help keep the public informed.

We will continue to monitor noise, dust and vibration throughout our works to ensure that we have adequate measures in place to minimise disruption.

June to September 2022 – Setting up security fencing and hoarding
Installing fencing along the area, shown on the map below (which will include strimming locally). Access to the golf course for the public will be maintained as long as possible by leaving access through the existing fencing.

June to 2 September 2022 – Archaeology works
Excavation of trenches, site mobilisation and compound set up with fencing, hard standings, and welfare accommodation.

July 2022 to June 2023 – Ecological mitigation works
Fencing installation, haul road construction, vegetation clearance and dewatering works leading to excavation and planting.

11 July 2022 to 1 March 2023 – Ground Investigation
To understand the existing ground conditions in several areas and gather information on the existing ground’s structural quality, workability, suitability for re-use.

1 August 2022 to 30 June 2023 – U44 footpath
Preparation works to secure and divert a section of the U44 footpath around the works area.

Today! June Harvil Road lane closure

Short lane closure on Harvil Road:
Remedial works on Harvil Road from the junction of Skip Lane, down to our Gate 1 site entrance gate. These works were due for completion 25 June between 8am and 1pm however, we need to extend the duration of the lane closure to allow us to relocate the fence line in the same area. These works will take place now between 8am and 5pm.

HS2 Information event at URC 21 June

Community event at Ickenham United Reformed Church

We would like to invite you to a community information event on Tuesday 21 June 2022 from 4pm to 7pm at Ickenham United Reformed Church.

Please come along to discuss our works with our local engagement team, and to find out more about:

• West Ruislip Tunnel Portal site
• Tunnel boring machine launch
• Tunnelling
• Utilities works

You can drop in anytime between 4 and 7pm. We look forward to seeing you there.

We will be observing social distancing and may choose to wear facemasks during this engagement event.

25 June a.m. Harvil Road lane closure

On Saturday 25 June 2022, we will undertake remedial works on Harvil Road from the junction of Skip Lane, down to our Gate 1 site entrance gate. For safety reasons and to facilitate the reinstatement work, we will need to close a lane. The lane closure will be in place between 8am and 1pm.

18 June Harvil Road lane closure is no more

UPDATE:
We wrote to you recently to let you know that there would be a short lane closure on Harvil Road on Saturday 18 June 2022. The lane closure was required to allow for remedial works from Harvil Road from the junction of Skip Lane, down to our Gate1 site entrance.

Due to the Ickenham Festival taking place on the same weekend, we have delayed these works and will update you as soon as we have a rescheduled date.

HS2 activity over Jubilee holiday

We wanted to let you know that these works will continue throughout the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee week. We will be carrying out works at our site compounds at:

Copthall tunnel site and Northern Sustainable Placement area:
From 2 to 4 June 2022, between 8am and 5pm work will be ongoing at our sites on Harvil Road and Newyears Green Lane. We will be carrying out steel fixing work, excavation and moving material. The conveyor system will be in operation during this time.

West Ruislip portal site:
24/7 assembly works for the tunnel boring machine will continue. These works will include steel fixing and a concrete pour, lifting operations and starting the TBM assembly in the launch chamber area.

The works we will carry out on these dates will be limited to the activities mentioned above and are confined within our sites.
