Ickenham station car park – new 10 minute grace period in operation.

Car park operators NCP have confirmed that a 10 minute grace period is in operation at Ickenham station car park following the recent introduction of ANPR technology.

The grace period, which is not clearly advertised, allows motorists to drive in and out without the need to validate their stay on the new touchscreen payment machines.

NCP have agreed to check the signage to ensure that customers are aware that they can drop off and pick up for free.

One customer today was surprised at the 10 minute time period, saying that she had expected it to be 20 minutes, in line with other car parks.

Reducing HS2 HGV movements and spoil dumping

HS2, LBH and TfL have been working on ways to reduce the likely impacts of HS2 development in our locality. The full report is due in May, but an interim report shows the seven shortlisted initiatives related to HGV movements and spoil dumping.

Here’s an overview map. One of the most interesting ‘sustainable placement’ initiatives is unnumbered.
