Update on borehole in West Ruislip station car park

We’re writing to update you about borehole works in West Ruislip Station car park.

HS2 Works Notification: Update on borehole works in West Ruislip Station car park 20 July to 25 July 2025

We wrote to you earlier in June 2025 about works to drill a borehole in West Ruislip Station carpark from 25 June to 3 July.

We need to carry out a visual survey using handheld equipment. We will then drill a borehole in the ground. Once the borehole is complete, we will install a secure cover. The borehole will be located in between parking spaces so we can routinely access it to take readings.

These works are now expected to take place from 20 July to 25 July.

During this work, we will suspend seven parking bays in the West Ruislip Station car park.

HS2 update

From HS2:

UPDATE We wrote to you recently to let you know that we would be carrying out the installation of noise barriers and drainage systems along the HS2 route from Copthall Tunnel to West Ruislip Portal sites, from 30 June 2025 to 27 March 2026. However, these works have been rescheduled, and we will now be starting from 28 July 2025. We will start by installing concrete piles to stabilise the ground, followed by the installation of drainage systems. Our working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 1pm. You may notice periods of increased noise during these works. However, noise monitoring will take place throughout the works.  For further details about these work, follow this link. https://www.hs2.org.uk/work-items/piling-and-drainage-installation-works-for-noise-barrier-sites/#msdynmkt_trackingcontext=f4a19be3-2cf0-486b-95a3-8e9fbbe20100

Garden waste update from LBH

We’re getting in touch to let you know about a change to our garden waste collection service.
.
From Monday 7 July, garden waste will only be collected from residents who have subscribed to our new fee-based collections.
Subscribers will receive weekly household collections in spring, summer and autumn (fortnightly in winter) and a 270-litre capacity per collection (three 90-litre canvas sacks) as standard*, for a £70 annual fee.
You can register now. Once you sign up, you’ll be sent three green tags to attach to the handles of your current canvas sacks to confirm your subscription.
We are already receiving high numbers of subscriptions and, due to manufacturer logistical issues, there’s a chance some tag deliveries may be delayed. However, our crews are able to check all households that have subscribed in real-time during their rounds, so if you’ve not received your tags when your collection is due, please write your house number on your sacks in permanent marker and they will be collected.
*An additional three sacks and three tags can be requested via the council website if required.

Garden waste booking details

You should all by now have received the flyer about the new scheme – however the only way indicated to register is online at:
https://www.hillingdon.gov.uk/article/14619/Subscribe-to-our-garden-waste-collection-service

This totally ignores those who do not have access to the internet .
Should they wish to take part in the scheme then we have to assume they will need to contact the civic centre by phone on 01895 250111 as no alternatives are given
Please if you have any elderly neighbours speak to them about this and ensure they know what is going on. Thank you.
