Swakeleys House open Saturday
As part of the London Open House weekend, Swakeleys House will be open to the public (no charge) on Saturday 17th September 10:00 to 16:00.
It gives Ickenham residents the opportunity to publicly show their interest in this building. Please go if you can. Groups of up to 15 at a time will be admitted every 20 to 30 minutes.
Tell your friends and neighbours, we need to demonstrate our continuing interest in this historic and iconic building to its owners.

How does the 2018 Parliamentary boundary review affect Ickenham?
The Boundary Commission for England is conducting a review of parliamentary constituencies and needs the help of the public. You can visit their website http://www.bce2018.org.uk/ to view their proposals, make comments, see what other people have said and learn about the Commission and the review.
To help understand the local impact of the review (which aims to reduce the total number of MPs from about 650 to about 600), we’ve produced this simple graphic to explain the proposals.

Outdoor gyms
On a recent visit to Bury, Lancs, I was impressed by an outdoor gym in the local park. Thinking this would be a great idea for Hillingdon, discovered LBH is well ahead of me. We may not (yet?) have one in Ickenham, but here’s a list of outdoor gyms in the borough.

Meet the Ickenham Festival team
15 September 2016 7:30pm at St Giles Church Hall
The Ickenham Festival Team is holding its bi-annual public meeting at St Giles Hall. It’s yYour chance to meet the Festival team and ask questions or make suggestions about the future of the Festival.
It will include a short presentation of the Chairman’s report and certified accounts and the election of officers of the Festival Committee.
Light refreshments will be provided and the meeting will finish about 9.30pm.
The team looks forward to seeing you there.
