Dear resident,

Invitation to an event about HS2

High Speed Two (HS2) is the new high speed railway for Britain, and we’d like to invite you to
one of our events.

We’re running four community events with our contractors and Transport for London across
the London Borough of Hillingdon – in Ickenham, Ruislip, Harefield and Uxbridge. Each event
will focus on the HS2 works that will be taking place around those respective areas. Our
teams will be on hand to discuss these works and answer questions you may have.

Ruislip: Tuesday 9 October, 2pm to 7.30pm, The Barn Hotel, West End Road, Ruislip HA4
6JB

Come and hear about:

  • Plans for the portal in West Ruislip, the headhouse at the vent shaft in South Ruislip
  • The proposed new Ruislip golf course design
  • Traffic and lorry routes
  • Further work at Breakspear Road South
  • Plans for traffic improvements at Swakeleys Roundabout

Uxbridge: Thursday 18 October, 4pm to 8pm, Uxbridge Sports Club, Gatting Way off Park

Breakspear Road South closure extended

This just in from HS2:

Road closure of Breakspear Road South

Further to our update of 6 July 2018, whilst carrying out work to divert the water pipeline, Affinity Water have encountered some unexpected services within the carriageway which has required deeper excavations. The consequence of this is a delay to completing the works. We therefore need to extend the works to Friday 17 August 2018 and the closure of Breakspear Road South will remain in place until this date. We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.
