Make contact with LBH and its service providers

This email is to inform you that officers from LBH and some of our partners will be carrying out a Multi-Agency Partnership Day in the wards of West Ruislip ,Ruislip Manor and Ickenham on Friday 14th June.

The event will run from 2 – 8pm. There will be an Information Hub in Waitrose, 9 ,Kingsend, Ruislip HA4 7DS where officers will be handing out leaflets and giving advice on Community Safety issues amongst others, to residents and people working or studying in the borough.

In addition, LBH Officers and some of our partners will be out and about carrying out their core duties. For example, the Police will be carrying out a weapons sweep and it is hoped the Fire Brigade will be offering advice on Home Fire Safety Visits ( subject to operational commitments).

Others taking part include the Environmental Enforcement Team, ASBET, Parking Services, Children’s Services, Neighbourhood Watch and Community Safety.

Tunnel Boring Machine Power Supply Route

We have updated the HS2 in Hillingdon site with a new page on the tunnel boring machine power supply route. The page includes a question and answer document about the works.

New events in Hillingdon announced

All of our events in Hillingdon are listed here on our upcoming local events page.

New drop-in dates announced

We hold regular drop-in events where you can meet our Community Engagement team and our contractors if you have any questions or would like to know more about the project. Dates have now been confirmed through to August 2019.

Colne Valley Viaduct Events

Our Colne Valley Viaduct events start today in Maple Cross, with Ickehnam on 31 May, Harefield on 1 June, Ruislip Golf Course 6 June and Denham 7 June. We will be making the materials from the event available on the Colne Valley Viaduct page shortly.

Come and visit us on Uxbridge High Street Tuesday 19 June

Come and see us between 10:00 and 19:00 on Uxbridge High Street (outside the tube station) in our mobile event trailer to learn more about the project and get advice on a host of opportunities:

Harvil Road Injunction

On the 16 May 2019, the High Court granted an injunction to prevent protesters trespassing on HS2 land and obstructing access to HS2’s worksites at Harvil Road.

The court injunction is necessary to help us keep the public and our staff safe at our work sites. There have been numerous incidents of trespass and obstruction, including incidents where protesters have climbed onto vehicles, lay down in the path of vehicles and climbing underneath vehicles. All of which have the potential to cause serious injury and health and safety is HS2’s highest concern.

Breakspear Road South closure postponed

Dear Residents

We understand from many meetings with you that there has been a strong desire to defer the Breakspear Road South closure works until the summer holidays. HS2 strives to be a good neighbour every single day and work collaboratively with the local community. This has not been an easy decision. This has required careful consideration of the risks and benefits of deferring the works and the impact on the overall programme. I am pleased to inform you that as a result of these discussions we have decided to postpone the road closure until the end of the summer school term (July 19), avoiding the exam period. We will continue to engage with the utility companies to identify a new date for these works to be completed. We will keep you informed of these discussions.

I hope this demonstrates that we take our role in being a good neighbour seriously and have listened and responded to the needs of the community.

Please be aware it will take a few days for me to organise the removal of signage and update any communication materials we have made available about the closure.

Breakspear Road South closure: official

Closure of Breakspear Road South – 31 May to 29 July

We are continuing HS2 preparatory works in your area. As part of this work we need to close a section of Breakspear Road South to safely complete the construction of the new Merck, Sharpe and Dohme access road, along with re-positioning and reinstalling of various utility and service connections.

We recognise road closures affect both the public and the local community and will cause significant impacts on your journey plans. We have scheduled the work to be completed in three phases, which we explain fully below.

Phase 1: Full road closure for 27 days, starting Friday 31 May at 6am to Thursday 27 June at 8pm.

Phase 2: Northbound lane closure for 17 days, starting Thursday 27 June at 8pm to Friday 12 July at 6am.

Phase 3: Full road closure for 16 days, starting Friday 12 July at 6am to Sunday 28 July at 8pm.

Full reopening of the road on Monday 29 July 2019.

We encourage all drivers to follow the advised diversion route shown in the notification. A detailed map will be available shortly. The notification sent to residents can be found here.

The closure will begin north of the Merck, Sharpe and Dohme entrance and end after Gatesmead Farm. Access will be maintained to residential properties at all times.
